Our Certification Scope:
Development and support systems for the collection, retention and dissemination of digital data which can be produced as evidence in Judicial processes
It’s now full steam ahead in our mission to protect victims and support justice.
With full certification we can now proudly release our first app, Injury Capture for public use. With our users assured that the information we handle is secure and that all electronic information which is captured via the collection of Anatomap Applications (including the Injury Capture app), and stored, transferred and produced by Anatomap, can safely be used as evidential legally admissible evidence in any form of litigation.
Use of the Injury Capture app will revolutionise the victim and policing lifecycles, allowing the public to provide the police, in a matter of a few taps, with admissible forensic evidence that will enable the police to quicky act to protect those most vulnerable and through a successful prosecution, safeguard them from further harm.
(1) Empower more victims to report a crime
The app provides a means for a person to report a crime in a matter of minutes. It quite literally puts justice in your hands.
(2) Provide enhanced evidence and easier access to justice
The app enables victims themselves (and together with other stakeholders, including friends, relatives, the police, medical professionals and witnesses) to collect and submit robust forensic evidence which is all entirely evidentially admissible.
(3) Speed up the investigation process
The app should enable the police to gather strong evidence and investigate the crime far more rapidly. If a witness has supporting evidence it can be requested via the contributors function and uploaded in a matter of seconds. With quicker charging decisions and/or more early guilty pleas, victims will be safeguarded from any further harm.
(4) Boost conviction rates and build trust
Enhanced evidence collection and the enabling of more crimes to be effectively investigated and prosecuted will improve conviction rates and increase public confidence.
(5) Reduce the rate of crime and reoffending
This successful cycle should further empower victims and hopefully deter those who contemplate violent crime; in the longer term, leading to an overall reduction in crime.
It's all about making people feel safe to say something
We hope that with the support and engagement of the Government, the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC's), the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC), the Chief Constables from all 43 Territorial Forces , Victims Commissioners, Victim Support Services and others, that the app can be made available to users across the entirety of the UK.
